II. Essential Qualification

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Commerce or Arts with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
    For Finance & Accounts, Commerce Graduates will be preferred,
    For Contracts & Materials Management Science Graduates (with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) and Commerce Graduates will be preferred.
  2. 40 words per Minutes typing speed in English on PC. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess knowledge of Hindi typing also.
  3. Should have passed a Certificate Course of duration of not less than 6 months on MS- Windows Operating System and Desktop Applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point), E-mail Management and Internet Surfing.

4. Stenographer Grade. 1
  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
  2. A speed of 80 wpm in English Stenography.
  3. A speed of 40 wpm in English Typing on PC.
  4. Should have passed a Certificate Course of duration of not less than 6 months on MS- Windows Operating System and Desktop Applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point), E-mail Management and Internet Surfing.
Preference will be given to those candidates who possess knowledge of Hindi typing / Hindi Stenography.
5. Pharmacist/B HSC (10+2) + 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months Training in Pharmacy + Registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council
For posts at Sr. No. 1, 2 and 3 the educational qualification is relaxed for Project Affected Persons to - “Pass in Science or Commerce or Arts Degree with knowledge in computer application and Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. on PC”.
Candidates having Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology are exempted from Certificate Course in Computer.

III. Relaxation in Upper age limit

6. NPCIL employees No age bar
7. Project Affected Persons of TAPS-1&2 / TAPS-3&4 45 years for General candidates, 48 years for OBC candidates and 50 years for SC/ST candidates.
8. Ex-servicemen As per the Government directives
9. Those who have worked on daily wages for minimum 03 refuelling outages of TAPS 1&2. 40 years for General candidates, 43 years for OBC candidates and 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
Note:
  1. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under Creamy Layer are not entitled to the benefits of OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as “General (Unreserved)” while filing online application.
  2. If there are no posts reserved for reserved category candidates; reserved category candidates can apply against unreserved posts; provided they meet all the norms prescribed for unreserved candidates. They will not be considered for any relaxation /concession at any stage in the entire recruitment process.
